The WorkSkills website has been developed for the Melbourne Law School by Jill Dixon, WorkSkills Project Manager, with Wendy Larcombe, Ian Malkin, Pip Nicholson, and Anthony McCosker.
Many individuals and groups within and external to the Melbourne Law School have assisted with the development of information and resources for the website. These include:
- LLB and JD students, too many to name
- Representatives of the Law Students Society, the International Law Students Society, the Melbourne University Law Review and the Melbourne Journal of International Law
- Melbourne Law School teaching staff, including subject coordinators and lecturers
- Representatives from a wide range of employers (including metropolitan and rural general practice law firms, commercial law firms, legal aid, state and commonwealth government departments, professional services organisations, NGOs, international organisations and media).
Our thanks to all of these people for their invaluable assistance.
Many thanks also to:
- Angela Edwards, Manager, Careers Office, for assistance with employer interviews and contributions to all stages of the project
- Tom Hewitt-McManus, Student Communications Coordinator, for developing the WorkSkills website
- Daniel Murray, Systems Developer, for arranging network access and developing the online skills audit
- Jack Fagan, Print and Web Publications Officer, for designing the WorkSkills website
- Professor Camille Cameron and Associate Professor Lee Godden, for advice and feedback as members of the WorkSkills steering group
- Peter Jones, Director, Legal Information Resources, for advice and support on technical aspects of the project
- Arlen Duke and Dr Andrew Mitchell, who provided advice and feedback on the project.
Finally, special thanks to Jill Dixon, Project Manager, for steering this project through, from beginning to end, with tireless energy, great skill and professionalism and good humour.
The project received a Learning and Teaching Performance Fund Grant and we gratefully acknowledge this funding.
